With addition of talented players like center Alonzo Mourning and point guard Tim Hardaway to the team, Miami Heat made a strong come back in the NBA standings. With a supporting cast of Jamal Mashburn, Voshon Lenard, and P. J. Brown, the Heat rose to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1997. The Miami Heat got hold of Shaquille O’Neal for Odom, Brian Grant and Caron Butler via trade with the Los Angeles Lakers and the refurbished team made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they lost in seven games to the Detroit Pistons. NBA Miami Heats, over time have developed in to one of the strongest teams on the NBA circuit. With astounding players associated with the stunning team, Miami Heat is among the top-ranked teams in NBA. The Heat made their debut on November 5th losing to the Los Angeles Clippers 111-91 at the Miami Arena and the fans had to wait a while for The Miami Heats first win as they got off to a terrible start, losing a NBA record 17 games in their inaugural season. At last, The Heat got their first win beating the Clippers in LA 89-88 in a nail-biting match. NBA basketball Miami Heat got their first home win 5 games later, when they beat the Utah Jazz 101-80. Joy and celebrations rocked the streets of Miami as the home team, at last, produced something that the fans can be proud of. The fire kept burning in the Heat as it showed improvement despite finishing in last place with a 24-58 record in the next season. The succeeding year proved very successful for The Heats under new Miami Heat Coach Kevin Loughery as the Heat got their first taste of achievement into the playoffs on the final day of the season by finishing in 4th place with a 38-44 record. The 1993/94 season was led by the scoring of Glen Rice, the shooting of Steve Smith, and the rebounding of Ronny Seikaly that made Heat to improve its position, in their first ever winning season. The 1995/96 season was the year of restructuring of the Heat as they acquired Alonzo Mourning, Pete Myers, and LeRon Ellis from the Charlotte Hornets on the day before the start of the season. However luck was not on their side as they struggled for a long time to get back on track. The Heat cruised to their second straight Atlantic Division title with a solid 55-27 record in 1997/98 season. The Heat began the new Millennium with a new arena and a new style. In the first game at America Airlines Arena, The Heat started off with a 111-103 win over the Orlando Magic. In their new home, The Heat continued to play strong defensive basketball as Alonzo Mourning won his second straight Defensive Player of the Year award leading the Heat to a 4th straight division title with a solid 52-30 record. In the following injury-hit season, NBA Miami Heat persistently played strong basketball, posting a 42-27 record, and Heat went on to finish in 2nd place with a solid 50-32 record. 2002/03 season was a dreadful year as the Heat finished at last place with an awful record of 25-57. The recent 2004-05 seasons marked a season of reunion for the HEAT, as four former Miami Heat players and coaches rejoined the team for a push for an NBA championship. Ron Rothstein rejoined Miami in September as an assistant coach. The Miami Heat Basketball team is an excellent blend of old players with fresh talent. A team which comes up to expectations of its million of fans that follow Basketball keenly. With passage of time, the team has improved tremendously and now it has a strong placement in NBA Circuit. Philadelphia 76ers Tickets are Up for Grabs
The 76ers tickets guarantee that your evenings will be action packed and full of fun. The Philadelphia 76ers (also called the Sixers) play for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and are a hit at the NBA (National Basketball Association).
The Beginning
Originally, the team was called Syracuse Nationals and started off in 1939. They joined the NBL in 1946 to become the eastern most team of the largely Midwest based league. They were one of the seven NBL (National Basketball League) teams to join with Basketball Association of America (which later became NBA). In 1955, the team led by forward Dolph Schayes, won the NBA championship. Soon after the Warriors left Philadelphia for San Francisco, the Nationals were shifted to Philadelphia, and were christened 76ers or the Sixers. The name was chosen after the declaration of Independence of the city in 1776. NBA has seen the team’s glory (68 -13 in 1966-67) and also their worst show (9-73 in 1972-73). Whatever was the scene, with 76ers tickets, one would be rest assured of a nail biting, edge of the seat game.
Some Notable Members
The most shinning stars like Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, Moses Malone and Charles Barkley in their Philadelphia uniform, have brought forth some of the finest seasons. Other stars worth mentioning are Hal Greer, Billy Cunningham, and Maurice Cheeks, who with their feats have brought fame to the team along with themselves.
The first four years of the Sixers at Philadelphia were mostly played at the Philadelphia Arena (originally called Philadelphia ice Palace and Auditorium) and Civic Center – Convention Hall. They also had an occasional game at The Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania. The first few years were a disaster for the team, with an all time low water mark for any of the NBA franchise. The 76ers tickets were freely available. The season of 1976 – 77 is when the club roped in Julius Erving; it was a memorable season for the 76ers. Slowly, the team came out of its blues and started winning accolades. This is the era where the sale of 76ers tickets rose.
The Sixers are famous for one more thing. They have had the most uniform changes than any other team in the NBA. Contrary to the teams such as Celtics and Lakers, who have kept a relatively same uniform design since the very beginning of their franchises. Until present day, there have been about twelve variations in their uniforms. Philadelphia, one of the greatest basketball cities along with its 76ers, enjoys an important part of the league’s history and its future.

The Boston Celtics are based as the name suggests in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1949, the Basketball Association of America merged with the National Basketball League to form the National Basketball Association. The team colors include green, white, black and gold. He was instrumental in building the team since its inception in NBA. They also had Bob Cousy, K. C. Jones, Sam Jones, John Havlicek, Frank Ramsey, Bill Russel, and Bill Sharman. They were also the very first franchise in NBA to draft an Afro-American player, Chuck Cooper.
Under coach Red Auerbach the Celtics won their eight consecutive championships. Then under Coach Tommy Heinsohn, the team won two more titles in 1974 and 1976 respectively.
In the recent years the Celtics are not playing the way they used to. They last won the NBA championship in 1986. And their last Conference title was in 1987. Grab your Golden State Warriors Tickets for Some Great Basketball!
Golden State Warriors tickets are made for fans, who enjoy watching some real fighting action when it comes to basketball. The Warriors may have changed their name a few times, but they certainly have not changed the way they play the game- this is why the team is still a strong contender for championships win today.
The Golden State Warriors are based in Oakland, California, and was founded in 1946. They are part of the National Basketball Association in the western conference and the pacific division. They play their home games from the Oracle Arena and have two championship wins, six conference titles, and seven division victories to their name.
Changing Names, Changing Places
The Golden State Warriors have come a long way from where they started out. The team was founded in 1946, as part of the BAA. At the time, the team was known as the Philadelphia Warriors, who picked up one championship win in 1956. In 1962, the franchise was shifted to the San Francisco area and as a result, was renamed the San Francisco Warriors. The team continued to play well and in 1971, the name was changed to the Golden State Warriors. To date, the Warriors remain the only team that does not specify the team state or city in the name.
With the settling of the new name, came a rise in the demand of Golden State Warriors tickets. This was mainly due to the drafting of a number of new and talented players- basketball fans and observers predicted big wins, if the team could find a common vibe and make it work on the courts. This however proved to be more difficult than it seemed.
Sparring Warriors
By the mid nineties, most of the fans had bought Golden State Warriors tickets, in order to see its three superstars in action- Nelson, Webber and Sprewell. What should have worked magic on the team soon backfired as in-fighting among these three eventually led to all three of them leaving the team. The Warriors suddenly found themselves on loose ground and it seemed like the team was coming apart at the seams.
Sales of Golden State Warriors tickets peaked slightly in the new millennium, as a number of fresh players put a competitive edge to the team’s performance. While this was definitely an improvement, all of these players were stars in the making and the team as a whole was very young. When it came to battling with more experienced and elite teams in the NBA, the Warriors just could not deliver. By 2004, the team was in trouble yet again, but this time, a shuffling of players and personnel was initiated. This is why the team bounced back with a bang in 2006, becoming strong contenders in 2007. The Warriors even made playoff history in 2007, when they had their first playoff win in 16 years. Today, the Warriors are a little more experienced and are ready to take things way past the playoffs. Don’t miss your chance to see the Warriors do battle on the basketball court- you can get in touch with an online authorized ticket vendor to order Golden State Warriors tickets.

Philadelphia 76ers Tickets for 100% basketball Action
Having Philadelphia 76ers tickets is a bit like having some basketball history right in your hands. The Sixers have been part of some truly unforgettable plays and have also had some dark times that they have lived through. Being the oldest franchise in the NBA today, it is little wonder that watching them play is watching a game that is rich in tradition and experience.
The Philadelphia 76ers are based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and play their home games at the Wachovia Center. They are part of the National Basketball Association and are also affiliated to the Eastern Conference and the Atlantic Division. The Sixers have eleven division wins, five conference titles and three championships wins as well.
From Syracuse to Philly
The Sixers began their career way back in 1939, as the Syracuse Nationals and were part of the National Basketball League as well as the Basketball Association of America. In 1963, the team was shifted to Philly- by then the team had already joined the NBA. Their name was taken from the year 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was signed, though it was shortened to Sixers for marketing purposes.
The Sixers consistently played well and Philadelphia 76ers tickets were always a hot commodity. The team had a particularly unforgettable season during 1966-1967. It was during this time that the NBA named the Sixers as the best team in the league. The Sixers also dismantled the reigning Celtics 8 year domination as the NBA champions. At the time, the Celtics were already an aging and exhausted team compared to the Sixers. It was possibly the brightest era in the life of the Sixers.
Down, Up, Down
Ironically enough, the Sixers would be part of one of the worst trades in the NBA soon after, which would signal a veritable freefall for the team. Philadelphia 76ers tickets still sold well, but the team was right at the very bottom of the barrel. The Sixers gradually regained momentum after getting Julius Erving and by the eighties, the Sixers were back in the business of winning. In the 1982-83 seasons, the team was making history once again and the period is perhaps best remembered for the quip fo-fi-fo, which was made popular by the Sixers player, Moses Malone.
The eighties were a mixed bag for the Sixers, as they alternately shone and disappointed, though sales of Philadelphia 76ers tickets remained steady. Things went downhill again for the team from 1990 to 1997 in what many fans refer to as the Dark Ages. During this time, the Sixers watched as their winning total decreased steadily year after year. It was not a surprise that the team was soon pulling in the second worst record in the entire history of the franchise. It wouldn’t be until the new millennium that the Sixers would find their feet again. Today, the team, is a combination of great talent, which fans hope will be able to work together to bring another championship win home. Fans and basketball lovers are all going to be there and you can join them too. Just get online and contact and authorized ticket vendor to get your Philadelphia 76ers tickets.

Awesome Basketball With Orlando Magic Tickets
Real basketball magic is in the air if you have your hands on some Orlando Magic tickets. The Magic have been casting spells on the basketball courts with their own set of superstars and great plays but, like any team, they have had their share of hardships as well. Through it all, they’ve been one of the hardest working teams in the NBA.
The Orlando Magic is based in Orlando, Florida and hosts their home games at the Amway Arena. They play as part of the National Basketball Association and are also under the Southeast Division and the Eastern Conference. Though they have yet to snag a championship win, they already have one conference win and two division titles to their name.
O For Orlando
During the eighties, the NBA went on an expansion spree, adding a number of new teams to the league. At the time, Miami and Florida were both competing for a franchise and the fray had gotten heated, as the cities began exchanging barbs and insults as negotiations went on. Finally, both teams were awarded a franchise, with the Magic being formed in 1989. The Magic had a fighting start and were a team that became known for putting in a lot of sweat and effort into their games. However, they just couldn’t seem to find their rhythm, with 1992 being a particularly bad year for the Magic.
Things changed drastically for the team when Shaquille O’Neal joined the team in the NBA draft. Needless to say, a number of fans started picking up Orlando Magic tickets, just to see the Shaq in action. But the Magic hit another patch of extraordinary luck, when they were also able to draft Penny Hardaway and the Magic really started to shine. By the mid-nineties, the team was among the top teams in the NBA.
Sweat and Tears
The Magic was dealt a huge blow, when Shaq left the team as a free agent and joined the Lakers. There was a bit of a dip in the sales of Orlando Magic tickets but the team kept at it, working to perform just as well on the courts despite losing such a legendary player. A number of trades resulted in the team becoming populated with new faces and names, but the Magic was not deterred. They put their slogan ‘Heart and Hustle’ into gear and distinguished themselves as one of the hardest working teams in the NBA.
Loyal fans and basketball lovers, all line up for Orlando Magic tickets now, because they can be assured of a good game, no matter what. By the beginning of the new millennium, the Magic was posting winning seasons, but in the 2003-2004 off-seasons, the team was dismantled completely, partially due to the fact that a number of draft picks were causing problems. The move was a sound one and today, the Magic have a number of talented key players in their line up. Fans are assured that the team will be able to do some serious damage on the court soon. Don’t miss the chance to be there and watch it all live- get to an authorized online ticket vendor and order your Orlando Magic tickets.

Noteworthy Basketball With New Jersey Nets Tickets
Any basketball enthusiast knows the value of New Jersey Nets tickets. The Nets have been around the basketball courts for a while- they have had a few name changes and league changes. Through it all, they’ve managed to play consistently and the new millennium in particular seems to have brought out the winning spirit in the Nets.
The New Jersey Nets are based in East Rutherford, New Jersey and they play their home games at the Continental Airlines Arena. The Nets are also part of the Atlantic Division and the Eastern Conference. The team has yet to snag a championship win in the NBA, but they have four division wins and two conference titles to their name.
Mets and Jets
The New Jersey Nets were formed in 1967 and had to go through a number of initial name changes, before they were named the Nets. The team was first called the New Jersey Americans, but that name was quickly changed a year later to the New York Nets. This happened, when the team was shifted to Long Island and the name was intended to rhyme with other big New York teams like the Mets and the Jets.
Until 1976, the Nets were part of the American Basketball Association and were a team that got off to a very rough start. While they started out well with their first season, they performed badly in New York, barely managing to draw a thousand spectators per game. It wouldn’t be until 1973 that the team would start finding its pace and they were able to clinch 2 championship wins and 1 division title wins during that time.
The NBA and Hard Knocks
The Nets joined the NBA in 1976 and were immediately hit with a $4. 8 million fine from the Knicks, who claimed the Mets were invading their territory. This fine came on the heels of the cool 3 million the Nets had to pay for joining the NBA in the first place. Financially and emotionally drained, the Nets rounded things off with the worst league record of that season. In 1977, the team was shifted to New Jersey again and renamed the New Jersey Nets.
Sales of New Jersey Nets tickets were slow in taking off and little wonder- the team itself seemed to be floundering, unable to find its footing. After being plagued with injuries for a good part of the eighties, the team should have picked up momentum in the nineties after picking up talented new players like Drazen Petrovic and Derrick Coleman. However, after losing Petrovic in a car accident, the Nets became plagued with an image problem- bad attitudes mainly stemming from Coleman and other players who seemed to epitomize the selfish athlete to a tee were pulling the team down badly. The Nets traded off their problem players and made a fresh start. The change was a positive one and New Jersey Nets tickets became a popular item. The Nets managed some very big wins into the new millennium on an almost consecutive basis. Now basketball lovers are lining up for New Jersey Nets tickets, so they can watch them make a championship win. You can be there to see it too- contact an authorized online ticket vendor and buy your New Jersey Nets tickets.

About The Game Of Basketball
Basketball is game with a huge fan following. Here two teams having five players each aim to score against each other. They throw a single ball through the basket, which is a ten-foot high hoop. There are certain rules and guidelines of the game that they need to follow. To score points, the team members need to pass the ball through the basket from the top. At the end of the game, the team, which has the most baskets or points, wins.
The players can take the ball forward by bouncing it on the ground or letting it pass through teammates. The players cannot push and shove. In fact, there are rules for every move that is made. The games are usually played in a total of four quarters comprising of ten or twelve minutes. There is a break for fifteen minutes allowed at half time. At other breaks the time is limited o two minutes. If both the teams draw, then the game can go into overtime of five minutes. The time that is considered is the actual time the game is played. The moment the game is inactive, the clock is stopped. As a result, a single game takes much more than the stipulated time to end. It can stretch for more than two hours.
As mentioned earlier, only five players of each team can be on the basketball court. Every team can have a maximum of seven substitutes and they can be done when the game stops. A coach is there to manage, supervise and make strategies for the team.
About The New Jersey Nets Team
In the season 2006-2007, the New Jersey Nets do not have any strong contention from the Atlantic division. The best players of the team are Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter. Both are highly talented players. Carter has missed just about eight games in the previous two seasons. Though Jefferson does not have as much as experience as Carter, he can be expected to deliver around twenty points per game. Another good player of New Jersey Nets is Jason Kidd. Though he has slowed down to a certain extent with age and surgery, he is still pretty good with the ball when it comes to setting up with the other players. Nenad Kristic and Jason Collins are the post players who have shown tremendous improvement and promise.
